NW Compassion Ministries
Jeff and Karin Trotter

Jeff and Karin Trotter have been serving with Pittsburgh-based Heaven's Family since 2009. Based in the U.S., they work with indigenous ministry partners throughout the world, seeking to love Jesus by serving the "least of these" in third-world countries.
They also travel several times a year, often leading teams to such places as Haiti and Myanmar. As they travel, they see the needs first-hand, develop relationships with ministry partners, check on work accomplished or in process and, most importantly, build love links between us and our brothers and sisters around the world. By introducing us to the actual widows, orphans, those suffering illnesses and disabilities, or victims of persecution, human trafficking, or natural disasters, "missions" becomes more personal for us.
We invite you to check out the incredible work of Heaven's Family by going to their webpage, and don't forget to visit Jeff and Karin's staff support page, where you can find links to stories they've written about their work, and their personal website, where you'll find lots of photos, trip blogs, and other information.

Cheryl Harrison-Latvia - YWAM

Cheryl Harrison grew up in Pittsburgh and began her walk with Jesus at 16 years of age. While attending Slippery Rock, she felt a strong call to missions and began to pursue that at age of 20, completing training with Youth WIth A Mission (YWAM) in northwestern PA. She spent 9 years based in US with YWAM in a variety of positions, and taking many short term mission trips. In 1993, I moved to help launch a YWAM work in Latvia, a small nation in Eastern Europe.
Cheryl presently serves as YWAM Latvia National Leader. She is responsible for coordinating YWAM's national leadership team, for oversight of their ministry and 3 location leaders, and with various projects around the nation. Part of her responsibility, in Cheryl's words, "is to coordinate national gatherings, to be in a priestly, intercessory role, to strategize for the future, to represent YWAM both in Latvia and internationally, and to bring spiritual protection and accountability to our staff and leaders. Our heart is to see Latvia reached, and young people equipped and sent out to missions."
She also serves as part of a regional core leadership team for YWAM in Northern Europe. This role includes serving the leaders of that YWAM region, strategizing for corporate initiatives, and as a connection with YWAM international. As part of this, she oversees the formation of a new team in neighboring Estonia.
"My heart is to see God's Kingdom purposes established on earth," Cheryl says, "in every sphere of society and to each place He sends me."
